SCHEDULING APPOINTMENTS

FOLLOW-UP APPOINTMENTS
If recommended by Dr. McCann, follow up appointments may be scheduled at the registration desk as you leave the office following your initial or subsequent visit. Alternatively, you make a follow-up appointment by phone 646-665-6784 or email at any time request appointment.
Dr. McCann routinely sends copies of all his notes to your referring physician and PCP.
OFFICE POLICIES
INSURANCE PARTICIPATION
Dr. McCann participates in most insurance plans. See Insurance Participation.
If Dr. McCann does not participate in your insurance plan, and you nevertheless wish to have his consultation, you will be asked to pay in full for your office visit.
REFERRALS AND PRE-AUTHORIZATION REQUIREMENTS
OFFICE VISITS
Please be advised that any required insurance authorizations are the patient’s responsibility. Please obtain authorization prior to your visit. If your insurance plan requires an authorization for your visit and you do not provide the authorization at the time of the appointment, Dr. McCann will not be able to examine you.
X-RAY, MRI OR CT-SCAN PRE-CERTIFICATIONS
If Dr. McCann requests an x-ray, MRI, or CT-scan that requires authorization, his office staff will obtain the authorization within 48 hours and notify you with the authorization number. You may schedule the recommended study at your convenience either at our facility at Greenwich Village or at an imaging center of your choice.
Medicare does not require any pre-certification.
PAYMENT METHOD
Payments required on the day of your office visit may be made by cash, check, or credit card.
BILLING QUESTIONS
Any questions regarding your medical bills should be directed to Dr. McCann’s office manager at 646-665-6784.
PAYMENTS AND DEDUCTIBLES
All co-payments for office visits, if required by your medical insurance company, are due on the day of your appointment. For patients seeing Dr. McCann out-of-network, the full office visit fee is payable at the time of the appointment. It is the office policy that the patient will fulfill the obligation of any deductibles required by their insurance provider.
SCHEDULING SURGERY
If Dr. McCann recommends surgical treatment, his office manager will discuss all details of scheduling and payment on the day you decide to proceed with surgery, either in the office at the time of your visit, or whenever you call to schedule.
All details of preparing for surgery and method of payment will be reviewed with you at that time. While Dr. McCann participates in most insurance plans and accepts insurance payment as payment in full, you will be responsible for any deductibles as stipulated by your individual insurance plan.
